A warmer climate has led to a rise in sea level, which is expected to increase dramatically. "The urge to sit dry" is a chair that has risen above sea level. It offers a direct and tangible experience of the relative sea level to the street level. It arouses thoughts of living above a drowned land.

With this work, Maas wants to appeal to the imagination and give a feeling of the threatening and vulnerable situation we find ourselves in around climate urgency.
